The Nike Air Max 1 Golf Gets the “Panda” Treatment
Joining the Air Jordan 1 on the fairways.
Much has been said about the “Panda-monium” that stormed the sneaker industry a couple of years ago. But there’s a reason why Nike is still reusing the ubiquitous black-and-white makeup on various other silhouettes—even until today, the Dunk Low “Panda” continues to sell out every time it’s restocked.
However, if there’s one model that sneakerheads won’t get tired of, it’s the legendary Air Max 1. Joining the Air Jordan 1 High Golf on the fairways is the Air Max 1 in the “Panda” makeover. The Air Max 1 Golf “Panda” sees the classic two-tone palette finding its way onto the greens, with the main base of its uppers coated in white with black overlays and accents.
It’s construction doesn’t stray too far from the traditional Tinker Hatfield creation, with mesh filling most of its underlays and smooth nylon filling in most of its uppers. The only big difference is, of course, its fairway-ready rubber outsole. This might be yet another “Panda”, but given that it’s on an Air Max 1, it might still turn the heads of fellow golfers on the course.
While there’s no release date set yet for the Nike Air Max 1 Golf “Panda”, expect to find it on Nike in the coming months, at a retail price point of US$150. In the meantime, check out official images of the pair via the top slider above.
