2022 was definitely a notable year for the adidas Samba. The silhouette enjoyed a massive resurgence recently, largely thanks to a flurry of celebrities sporting the Sambas throughout the year. From supermodels like Bella Hadid to K-POP idols like BLACKPINK’s Jennie leading the inspiration, it was probably harder not to see them on social media some way or another.

It’s only right that the Three Stripes brand capitalise on this recent revival of the once humble soccer shoe coming into 2023, and indeed they are. While collaborations with Wales Bonner and Fucking Awesome’s founder Jason Dill are already in the pipelines, it seems like another GR Samba is set to release in the coming months.

Thanks to @le.syndrome on Instagram, we get a first look on the latest Samba to join the Three Stripes. Dressed in an all-brown nubuck upper save for its creamy heel tab, this model exudes a luxe yet vintage look—almost reminiscent of an olden soccer ball. Rounding off its design is its signature gum sole and the iconic Samba label embossed in gold atop one of the stripes.
