John Geiger to Debut His JG Slides in the Spring
The streetwear designer "slides" through the gap in the market.
Slides, clogs, and mules have permeated, and proliferated in the fashion landscape in recent years. Lifestyle brands have been battling for who can create the most innovative and unique product in the space. The results have been divisive: some eye-catching, some head-scratching. Unintimidated, streetwear designer John Geiger joins the fray, introducing his JG Slides.
Captioned on his eponymous brand’s Instagram, the slides are purported to be sustainable, crafted from biodegradable EVA foam. They’ll premiere in the spring in a trio of tonal colorways: a pale green, a bold red, and a uniform black.
Typical of its design, the “g” logo is embellished on the upper that traverses across both pairs. While on the footbed debossed is the brand’s insignia. Similarly on the midsole lies the words “Too Many No’s Not Enough O’s”. Lastly underfoot, is the serrated outsole reminiscent of the FKA Yeezy adidas slides.
No firm release date has been announced except for a proximate spring 2023. They’re also expected to go for around US$100. Yet, the brand hasn’t disclosed any other information to confirm their veracity.
