Nike Reveals Three New “Split” Silhouettes
in the form of two Air Force 1 Lows and a Dunk High.
It seems like Nike is on the verge of creating a new collection with its “Split” logo design. After reports emerged that the Nike Dunk Low “Chicago Split” is on its way, three more split designs – in the form of the Air Force 1 Low “Split”, Air Force 1 Low “UNC Split” and the Dunk High “Split”, all seem set to join the lineup this year.
The Air Force 1 Low models primarily come in two colors, a muted greyscale for the Split colorway while blue and white dress up the UNC Split design. At first glance, both silhouettes seem to sport the same construction and materials. The pairs deploy tumbled leather on its overlays and white uppers, with both Swooshes cut between its main color blocking and a darker hue. Both outsoles also feature a split design that carries the same color scheme as its Swoosh.
The Dunk High on the other hand seems to be a mashup of the two Air Force 1 Low models. Predominantly using grey and white tumbled leather on its uppers like the grey colorway, the fractured Swoosh logo instead adopts the UNC Split’s palette and opts for a university blue/navy hue. The outsole is also painted in the same color scheme as the Swoosh logo, while it takes on a vintage sail tint on its midsole.
While no official release details have been released for any of the pairs, you can expect them to hit retailers and Nike’s official shops in the coming months.
