First Look: LeBron 20 “Galaxy”
Built from the past, designed for the future.
LeBron James and the Lakers may be off to a terrible start to the season but the LeBron 20 at least, has been on an upward trajectory. No matter how Year 20 goes for the King, nobody will look back and say his legacy is tarnished. To still be performing at the level that he is in their 20th year is not only unprecedented, it’s unheard of and unfathomable.
While the basketball world will look back, LeBron James himself has begun looking ahead. This forward-thinking mentality is manifested and embodied in his 20th signature with Nike, a sneaker built from the past and designed for the future, the future generation of athletes.
Various colorways have already arrived on the Zoom Air-assisted silhouette but none yet quite as eye-catching and wild as the titular “Galaxy”. A plethora of disparate colors lands over the mesh base. The textile grey upper lends contrast to the polychromatic palette that adorns the double Swooshes on the profiles, and the rest of its components up top and underfoot.
Where the galaxy-theme becomes more apparent though is through the speckled midsole, the black giving “light” to the “stars” of the white flecks, a design choice once seen on the LeBron 9.
No official information nor images have been shared by Nike or LeBron himself but these leaks by @knowing_kicks offer enough to pique curiosities. While awaiting for more, check out the Air Jordan 4 “Light Iron Ore”, rumored to arrive in 2023.
