It’s been about a month since Paris Fashion Week Womenswear and we are still reminiscing the unforgettable runway shows that many brands and designers have unveiled. One of them in particular would be none other than Japanese designer Junya Watanabe. Recent collaborations with various labels have shown a more casual approach from the designer, but the following sneaker teased in his SS23 show proves to be the opposite.

Taking a look at the latest collaboration with Italian shoe label ASH, Junya Watanabe incorporates the theme of his runway pieces in the form of pearl and chain accessories attached to the sneaker. With an oversized outsole acting as the base, it features a sporty construction with mesh and leather on the uppers while the accessories shows hints of glam rock inspiration, just like the overall aesthetics of his runway show. Pearls of different sizes adds a layered look to the top, while the gold chains gives an extravagant and high-end shine to the sneaker.
