The Nike Dunk Low has been an icon in its own right since its debut in 1985. Designed by Peter Moore, the same person who created the Air Jordan 1, the Dunks has went from an alternative court shoe to a subculture staple. As its intended purpose morphed into a lifestyle option, its design also became more varied and elaborate. The transformation of the Dunk Lows has continued in its almost 40 year legacy, and 2022 sees a remaster that enlarges elements and switches up materials.

Known as the Nike Dunk Low “Remastered”, the silhouette retains its low-cut look and color blocking, but the details have been intensified. The Swoosh and Nike logo on the tongue have been supersized, emphasising the standard branding. Interestingly, with these exaggerated details, the heel foregoes the usual Nike branding. On the tongue, a pull tab has also been added. This, combined with the enlarged Nike logo, makes the tongue seem bigger than usual too.

The eyelets are also made prominent with stitching details in a violet-blue hue. The jumbo laces come in black and white, allowing the tumbled leather overlays in Olive to stand out. Beneath these earthy panels is a white mesh that makes the shoe look turned inside-out. Performance-wise, the sole’s typical EVA is swapped out for a full Air Strobel unit and a rubber outsole, boosting lightweight comfort.

Besides leaked images from @kicksdong, no official release dates have been revealed except a possible Spring 2023 release. Hold tight, we’ll be sure to update this page as soon as more details are made available.

In other Nike-related news, CPFM and the Swoosh just dropped an eccentric apparel collection.
