On July 29, 2026, Bandai—the Japanese tabletop powerhouse behind hit titles like the ONE PIECE Card Game—officially pulled back the curtain on its highly anticipated competitive card game, the NARUTO CARD GAME. Dropping just ahead of Gen Con 2026, the massive news drop included a first-look teaser trailer, actual physical card previews, and a deep dive into core gameplay mechanics.

The Deck Structure: 5 Key Card Types

Bandai confirmed that players will construct their decks using five distinct card types, blending strategic resource management with fast-paced ninja combat. Leader Cards serve as the heart of your deck, defining your color identity, strategy, and overall playstyle. Character Cards act as frontline fighters—featuring fan favorites like Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha—that execute attacks on the battlefield. EX Character Cards bring high-impact, powerful ninja that can be deployed when specific conditions are met to turn the tide of battle. Chakra Cards provide the resource pool required to activate game-changing Ninjutsu and tactical support effects. Finally, Summon Cards are essential system cards required to bring your Character Cards out onto the field.

The game boasts a rich variety of art styles to satisfy both competitive players and avid collectors, including brand-new illustrations by top creators, iconic anime stills, and original manga artwork by series creator Masashi Kishimoto.

How to Play: Fast-Paced Ninja Battles

Spanning the entire franchise—NARUTO, NARUTO Shippuden, and BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS—the TCG delivers high-stakes 1v1 combat. Each player brings 1 Leader Card, a 50-card main deck, 5 Chakra Cards, and 1 Summon Card. The primary objective is to reduce your opponent’s Leader Life Points (LP) to zero. Players will rest (exhaust) their Summon Card to field Character Cards, managing their Chakra pool to unleash devastating Ninjutsu and outwit their rivals in high-intensity mind games.
