Kith and New Balance Make History with Their First-Ever Completely Original Silhouette

Ronnie Fieg, the founder of Kith, and New Balance introduce their very first original silhouette, the “2011.” With a launch expected on 29th June 2026, the sneaker is named after the monumental year Kith was established and the duo’s inaugural project kicked off. This historic model is rumored to be co-designed with footwear designer Sam Pearce, reportedly taking two years of development and over 20 sample iterations to reach its final form.

The upper features flowing overlays, seamlessly layering premium pigskin suede, high-quality leather, and open mesh. For the sole, the pair utilizes the ABZORB-equipped unit previously seen on the 2002 model. This advanced cushioning technology, celebrated for its exceptional shock absorption and responsiveness, provides superior stability and ultimate comfort. Additionally, practical features like the open mesh and micro-perforated details enhance breathability for daily wear.

While inheriting the timeless heritage of vintage running shoes, this first original silhouette establishes a distinct new identity. An apparel line also drops alongside the sneaker, so sneakerheads should look forward to this highly anticipated release.
