A Fusion of Japanese Design, New York Streetwear, and Global Craftsmanship

This week’s drop centers on a full collection with Y’s, the foundational brand established by the legendary Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. As the designer’s very first line, Y’s embodies the core of his philosophy, offering functional and dignified everyday wear often inspired by the concept of women wearing men’s clothing.

The expansive collection showcases a rich intersection of collaborators. Leading the apparel is a leather jacket featuring work by New York tattoo artist Joe Chatt, presented alongside a matching denim work jacket and jeans. The range also includes a silk zip-up short-sleeve shirt, a zip-up hoodie, thermals, long-sleeve T-shirts, and a T-shirt with artwork by Maggie Lee.

But the collaboration doesn’t stop there, extending to a range of unique, co-created accessories. A silver wallet chain and bracelet have been crafted by The Great Frog, the iconic London jewelers celebrated for their hand-carved, rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic since 1972. In a nod to traditional Japanese craftsmanship, the collection features a folding fan (a sensu, a type of handheld Japanese fan) produced by Onishi Tsune Shoten, a historic fan maker from Kyoto.

The collection is rounded out by co-branded caps and beanies. As a collaboration between one of Japan’s most revered fashion houses and the world’s leading streetwear brand, this drop is already generating significant buzz.
