Upcoming Pokémon TCG set MEGA Dream ex [M2a] will feature the debut of an all-new rarity: Mega Attack Rare (MA).

Cards of the MA rarity will feature Full Art illustrations of Mega-Evolved Pokémon. Each illustration will also have the letters of each Pokémon’s main attack displayed across the image.

The MA rarity appears to have been designed as a throwback to the Mega-Evolved Pokémon of the Pokémon TCG’s sixth generation, many of which featured on cards making use of a similar design. As such, there’s a possibility that cards of the MA rarity might draw nostalgia from those who grew up with Gen 6.

The first three cards of the MA rarity from MEGA Dream ex [M2a] to be revealed are Mega Gardevoir ex, Mega Lucario ex, and Mega Charizard X ex.
