Caitlin Clark has quickly become a prominent figure for the Kobe sneaker line within the WNBA, wearing several exclusive pairs of the Kobe 5 and Kobe 6 last season. Some of these are even slated for a public release, such as the Kobe 5 “Indiana Fever”, which is expected to drop in June 2025.

The “Rookie Of The Year” Kobe 5 PE features a design inspired by both the Indiana Fever’s uniforms and the award itself. The shoe has a metallic silver base and midsole, with an iridescent finish on the heel. Contrasting red accents appear on the Swoosh, tongue, collar, and outsole. Clark’s dominant rookie performance saw her earn all but one of the first-place votes for the award. She set a new WNBA record with 337 assists, led the league with 122 three-pointers, and finished seventh in scoring.

Release Details

Looking ahead, the Caitlin Clark x Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro “Rookie Of The Year” PE is expected to be available to the public in Spring 2026. Nike also has plans to release several other Clark-inspired Kobes in 2025, including the Kobe 5 “Indiana Fever” in June and the Kobe 6 Protro “Light Armory Blue” during the holiday season.
