Under the adidas umbrella, Edison Chen and CLOT have retrofitted several hallmark silhouettes from the German legacy brand’s catalog: from espadrille-infused Stan Smiths to crepe-soled Gazelles, each pair a hitherto unseen interpretation.

The latest chapter arrives with the CLOT x adidas Superstar “Patchwork”, arguably the brand’s most adventurous take on the classic model to date.

About the CLOT x adidas Superstar “Patchwork”

Per its name, the “Patchwork” CLOT Superstar is defined by a clash of textures and patterns. A considered blend of materials, including corduroy, houndstooth, and suede overlays, comes together through deliberate paneling, zig-zag embroidered Three Stripes, and contrast stitching.

The palette evokes autumn with olive green, rust orange, dark teal, and cream; alongside functional elements, such as two-tone hiking-style laces and serrated outsoles.

Branding remains understated throughout the design, with gold Chinese characters appearing on the lateral heel and a subtle CLOT logo embossed in tonal leather on the heel tab. The rubber shell toe, a hallmark of the Superstar, is a mainstay, ensuring a link to tradition even as the rest of the shoe defies convention.
