Free The Youth x Air Jordan 16 [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Featuring a modular shroud that hides a surprising burst of color.
Jordan Brand builds its global narrative by partnering with Ghanaian creative collective Free The Youth, marking the group’s first official footwear collaboration. Fresh off their participation in Jordan’s 40th Anniversary campaign in 2025, the team takes on the oft-overlooked Air Jordan 16, introducing the silhouette to a new era.
About the Free The Youth x Air Jordan 16

At first glance, the pair features a grey-white shroud of textured tumbled leather. However, once removed, the model undergoes a metamorphosis. Bright orange mesh panels emerge alongside oversized “FTY” branding across the base, injecting a burst of color and identity into the design. Black trim adds definition to the structure, in tandem with neon green accents on the heel tabs and pull loops.

This interplay between subtlety and statement appears to be an intentional move, mirroring Free The Youth’s commitment to empowering the next generation through style, self-expression, and cultural duality. It’s a thoughtful application of design—one that reflects not just aesthetics, but the values that define the Ghanaian collective.
