Arguably the quintessence of the Y2K retrofuturistic design language, Nike expands its Shox R4 catalog with the introduction of the “Black/Seaweed” colorway.

About the Nike Shox R4 “Black/Seaweed”

Nike Shox R4 “Black/Seaweed” features iridescent panels that reflect a spectrum of blue, green, and purple hues when exposed to light. The effect is reminiscent of an oil slick, providing a futuristic finish to its design.

At rest, the R4 maintains a refined look. The black base serves as a backdrop, allowing the wavy, color-shifting overlays to take center stage. Proximate are black laces and piston-inspired heel units that contribute to a cohesive, monochromatic aesthetic.

Performance remains a focus, nevertheless, with Nike’s signature Shox cushioning system and the familiar “coil-like” bounce that essentially became its initial claim to fame.

Release Details
