[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Tiering System for World Championship Qualifier — National Tournaments in Latin America to Be Updated From 2025-26 Season
A total of 17 countries' national World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) tournaments will be impacted by the change.
The tiering system for World Championship Qualifier — National Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournaments in Latin America will be updated at the beginning of the 2025-26 tournament season.
In previous years, World Championship Qualifier — National tournaments in Latin America, which serve as each country’s official qualifier for the Central America or South America World Championship Qualifier (WCQ), had been divided into three tiers: Tier A, Tier B, and Tier C. Each country’s national tournament would be tiered according to each tournament’s projected number of participants.
The updated tiering system will be as follows:
Tier 5: 1,025+ players
Tier 4: 512 – 1,024 players
Tier 3: 257 – 512 players
Tier 2: 129 – 256 players
Tier 1: Up to 128 players
The new tiers apply to World Championship Qualifier — National tournaments in the following countries:
• Argentina
• Bolivia
• Brazil
• Chile
• Colombia
• Costa Rica
• Dominican Republic
• Ecuador
• El Salvador
• Guatemala
• Honduras
• Mexico
• Nicaragua
• Panama
• Peru
• Trinidad & Tobago
• Venezuela
