Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee is one of the 12 cards in Tactical-Try Pack: Dark Magic / HERO / Mikanko which has a version in Prismatic Secret Rare, the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG’s highest rarity. This combined with the usual value boost that cards featuring female characters typically experience serve to drive up the card’s value.

In addition, this card provides the answer to a canonical question which would first have been brought up almost three years ago in Deck-Build Pack: Amazing Defenders. That set contained The Great Mikanko Ceremony, a card which featured younger versions of several characters shown on other Mikanko cards—including one which hadn’t yet been officially introduced. It’s now known that the then-unidentified character was a younger version of Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee.
