The Nike Air Max Plus continues to assert its presence within Nike’s mainline offerings. Gradient colorways have long been a hallmark of Sean McDowell’s iconic design. Still, some of its most memorable interpretations emerge when the silhouette ventures beyond the expected, as seen with the Air Max Plus “Dark Obsidian.”

About the Nike Air Max Plus “Dark Obsidian”

Though subtle ombre effects make an appearance, they are far from the focal point. Instead, the spotlight falls on a striking navy and white grid pattern that stretches across the upper, dynamically shifting as the shoe’s contours transition from heel to toe.

The midfoot becomes a point of visual interest, where intersecting gridlines take on a luminous quality, “Blue Chill” accents highlight the Swoosh and shank, and the familiar TPU waves shift from crisp white to deep black.
