Bug/Grass-type Leavanny isn’t necessarily a Pokémon which most fans might assume would appear on a chase card in any given set. However, dual set Black Bolt [SV11B] and White Flare [SV11W] is so loaded with impressive pulls—every Pokémon has a version in Art Rare (AR) or rarer—that even the Leavanny card of AR rarity has managed to impress a decent number of collectors.

About Leavanny (White Flare [SV11W] 089/086)

The card’s Full Art illustration depicts Leavanny sitting near a pond in a forest, tending to what are likely its children—three Sewaddle and a Swadloon. It’s a peaceful, placid image that clearly conveys Leavanny’s nurturing and protective nature. Additionally, the spectrum-like holofoil gives the effect of light reflecting off the surface of the pond.

Although Leavanny might not be the most popular Pokémon of Gen 5, the card nevertheless holds obvious appeal due to the narrative present in the card. This card could very well end up becoming one of the more underrated picks of Black Bolt [SV11B] and White Flare [SV11W].

Release Details

This card’s English version will be out on 18 July 2025 as part of White Flare [WHT].

Buying a copy of a Leavanny (White Flare [SV11W] 089/086) card will cost 1,680 JPY (~US$12).
