Tyrese Haliburton’s first signature shoe, the PUMA Hali 1, is set to make its highly anticipated on-court debut during Game 1 of the NBA Finals, where the Indiana Pacers will face the OKC Thunder. This release marks a significant moment for both Haliburton and PUMA, especially as the shoe was designed by the renowned Salehe Bembury.

About the PUMA Hali 1

The PUMA Hali 1 embodies Bembury’s distinct design aesthetic, immediately evident in its sculpted midsole, which bears a resemblance to his popular Crocs collaborations, such as the Crocs Juniper. Performance-wise, the sneaker incorporates PUMA’s advanced NITRO cushioning technology, providing optimal responsiveness.

This is complemented by a herringbone tread pattern on the outsole and what appears to be an internal plate for added support. The upper portion of the shoe features a unique TPU cage and the iconic PUMA Big Cat logo, layered over a lightweight, patterned mesh. Tyrese Haliburton’s personal PUMA logo adorns the tongue, beneath which lies an open mesh material. For enhanced durability, the toe area is reinforced with two protective layers.

The collaboration between Salehe Bembury and PUMA, which saw Bembury join the brand about a year ago with the specific goal of designing a signature shoe for their next star athlete, has now culminated in this release. Haliburton’s move from Nike to PUMA in October 2024 further solidified the anticipation for this partnership.

Release Details

The PUMA Hali 1 is scheduled for a wider release in September through puma.com and PUMA Hoops retail partners, though pricing details have yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more information soon.
