When the Art Rare (AR) versions of the Black Bolt [SV11B] and White Flare [SV11W] cards of the three Gen 5 starters were revealed, all eyes immediately turned to the Oshawott card. And no wonder—not only is the Water-type Pokémon the most popular of the trio; the card’s Full Art illustration made it an immediate standout.

About Oshawott (White Flare [SV11W] 102/086)

This card’s illustration by OKACHEKE depicts the Sea Otter Pokémon sleeping tranquilly on a hammock hanging over the sea. It’s an adorable image that will melt the hearts of even the most jaded of Pokémon fans. The layer of holofoil covering the card adds a degree of visual realism as well by bringing about a visual effect resembling rays of sunlight streaming down.

In addition, those who grew up with Gen 5 will, of course, be especially drawn to this card as for many of them, Oshawott was their very first Pokémon in the Pokémon Black and White (or Black 2 and White 2) video games of Gen 5. Those who preferred the era’s anime, meanwhile, will also recall Oshawott as one of Ash’s Pokémon during the fifth generation of the anime.

Release Details

This card will be released in English on 18 July 2025 as part of White Flare [WHT].
