About Kalifa (Pillars of Strength [OP-03] OP03-081)

Playing Kalifa allows the player to draw two cards, then trash two from the hand. Following this, the player is able to reduce an opposing Character card’s cost by 2. This card is typically used in combination with other CP9 Character cards. Although this card’s standing in the ONE PIECE Card Game metagame has slightly declined as many Black Lucci deck players have pivoted towards the Kuzan card from Paramount War [OP-02], it nonetheless remains a viable option for those who still select it.

This card’s Rare Parallel (R-P) version is the one which collectors would be most inclined to go after. Not only does it depict a female character; CP9 agent Kalifa is shown in highly revealing clothing and in a rather suggestive pose. As such, the card’s illustration carries an inherent level of demographical appeal to go with its status as a Parallel Art card.
