Pokémon TCG Raging Bolt

The Raging Bolt ex has been on a hot streak as of late with a victory at the Milwaukee Regionals, runner-up finishes at Champions League Aichi and the Santiago Regionals, and third place at the Utrecht Special Event. The recent success of this deck can partially be attributed to the greater early-game role that the Raging Bolt (not the deck’s titular Pokémon-ex card Raging Bolt ex) card from Stellar Miracle [SV7] now plays in the deck’s overall strategy.

About Raging Bolt (Stellar Miracle [SV7] 075/102)

The more notable of Raging Bolt’s two attacks is Thunderburst Storm. That attack deals 30 damage per Energy card attached to Raging Bolt; it can either target the opposing Active Pokémon or an opposing Benched Pokémon. Usually, it’s a Benched Pokémon which Thunderburst Storm targets so as to either put early-game pressure on the opponent’s Bench or pick off a vulnerable Pokémon for the easy KO.

This is a card which is almost entirely known for its gameplay utility as its relatively low rarity of Rare (R) doesn’t move the needle with most collectors. That being said, completionists seeking to obtain one of each Ancient Paradox form of the Legendary Beast trio—the others being Walking Wake and Gouging Fire—might nonetheless be interested.
