When most people think about a Pokémon TCG card with just 30 HP and a single attack which has greatly impacted the metagame, they’d likely first think of the Budew card from Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] which has fundamentally altered the game due to its Item-locking capabilities.

More recently, another card has emerged which also fits that description: the Joltik card from Stellar Miracle [SV7] which has become the centerpiece of the Joltik Box deck, bringing back memories of the iconic Night March deck featuring the Joltik card from Phantom Gate [XY4].

About Joltik (Stellar Miracle [SV7] 108/102)

Joltik is used for Energy ramping; it’s the card that enables the deck’s attackers to obtain the Energy cards they need to attack. This is done via its Jolting Charge attack which allows the player to attach up to two Grass and two Electric Energy cards taken from the deck to the player’s Pokémon in any combination. As such, it can be used to set up early-game KOs or power up one of the deck’s attackers which might be able to exploit a matchup advantage against the opponent’s deck.

From the collector’s standpoint, this card’s Art Rare (AR) version is the iteration to be sought out. The card’s Full Art illustration card shows the Bug/Electric-type Pokémon surrounded by the electricity that it’s emitting. The sharp, jagged lines of which the card’s art style makes use add further visual impact to the illustration

The English version of this card is card 150/142 from Stellar Crown [SCR].

A copy of a Joltik (Stellar Miracle [SV7] 108/102) card is relatively affordable, costing just 760 JPY (~US$5.21).
