At first glance, the Angry Burger card from Duelist Advance, the newest Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Core Booster, might appear to be no more than a modern-day take on the Hungry Burger card first released as part of the Pharaoh’s Servant set all the way back in 2000. However, closer analysis reveals additional depth to this card.

About Angry Burger (Duelist Advance DUAD-JP029)

A retrained counterpart of Hungry Burger with a Prismatic Secret Rare version, Angry Burger has connections to cards of the Nouvelles archetype. This is evidenced by the fact that it has a flag with the Nouvelles logo on it; that same logo can be seen on the badges of characters featured on cards of that archetype.

Another in-universe connection between Angry Burger and Nouvelles cards has to do with the associated storyline, as shown in The Valuable Book EX 4. The main reason why Angry Burger wasn’t mentioned by name in The Valuable Book EX 4 was because the card hadn’t officially been released yet; however, following the card’s actual launch, it can now be retroactively seen how it fits into the broader Nouvelles storyline.
