Although Gagaga Girl has been reprinted three times following its debut in 2011 as part of Series 7 Core Booster Order of Chaos, it had never received an Xyz upgrade until the release of the similarly-named Gagagaga Girl in Duelist Advance, the most recent Yu-Gi-Oh TCG set.

This card is one of those which received a Prismatic Secret Rare version in Duelist Advance. Another factor contributing to the demand for it is the fact that it depicts a female character; both these points combine to increase the card’s overall value.

Gagagaga Girl’s connection to Gagaga Girl also elevates the card’s status within much of the fandom in an indirect way because Gagaga Girl is the counterpart of Dark Magician Girl—one of the most iconic Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards of all time. Thus, as the upgraded Xyz version of Gagaga Girl, Gagagaga Girl is also tied to Dark Magician Girl; this is an additional factor which will draw many to this card.
