The Sky Striker Mobilize – Linkage! card from Secret Shiny Box has recently seen its price tag spike tremendously. This is likely the result of the recent release of the first episode of original video animation (OVA) anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: The Chronicles which is centered around Sky Striker characters.

About Sky Striker Mobilize – Linkage! (Secret Shiny Box SSB-JPS02)

Of the three versions of this card, the rarest is the Secret Rare version from Secret Shiny Box. Its illustration references a scene from the Sky Striker Ace arc of the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Stories manga; specifically, from its ending after Sky Striker Ace – Raye and Sky Striker – Roze destroy Surgical Striker – S.P.E.C.T.R.A. via their Combined Maneuver – Engage Zero! attack. As such, those who got into the TCG by way of the manga are likely to be interested in this card.

There’s also the fact that this card depicts two female characters and will thus have much inherent demographical appeal. As has been mentioned, the upcoming OVA has already further jacked up interest in this card as well; this elevated demand has caused its price to increase significantly and is expected to remain relatively high for the foreseeable future.
