Nike persists in its pursuit of innovation, unveiling the Vaporfly 4 “Light Trails”, a vibrant counterpoint to the designs of the model’s predecessors.

About the Nike VaporFly 4 “Light Trails”

The upper is characterized by polychromatic striations, evoking the ephemeral trails of luminescence in motion. Furthermore, its glow-in-the-dark details highlight a different dimension to its aesthetic.

Engineered mesh forms the entirety of the upper, ensuring breathability and reducing overall weight. The revised midsole geometry, featuring a 35mm heel and a 29mm forefoot, contributes to an enhanced sense of equilibrium. Notably, this iteration achieves a ten percent reduction in mass compared to its predecessor, the Vaporfly 3.

The ZoomX foam remains central to the shoe’s build, providing a responsive and cushioned energy return. Complementing this, the full-length carbon fiber Flyplate amplifies the efficiency of each stride. The outsole configuration maintains reliable traction, suitable for both competitive racing and extended endurance runs.

A palette of Black, White, and Multi-Color accents imbues the silhouette with a distinctly futuristic sensibility. A bold graphic treatment encircles the heel, bearing the assertive inscription “Road Racing VF”. The integration of ZoomX and Flyplate technologies highlights the model’s performance-oriented design, catering to the demands of elite athletes. Upon closer inspection, the “Vaporfly 04” designation is imprinted on the tongue.

Release Details

The Nike Vaporfly 4 “Light Trails” will be released on 24 April through select retailers and Nike’s brick-and-click stores. The RRP is US$260.
