[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Konami Overhauls Rarity Scale
The new scale has seven rarities as opposed to the prior eight and tops out with Prismatic Secret Rares.
Konami has announced its new Yu-Gi-Oh TCG rarity scale which will be in effect for all new releases of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG products going forward. The scale is as follows, from rarest to least rare:
Prismatic Secret Rare
Secret Rare
Ultimate Rare
Ultra Rare
Super Rare
Rare
Common
In addition, it will be possible for cards of any of the five lower rarities to come in Prismatic Secret Rare or Secret Rare versions in the same set.
Under the previous scale which contained eight rarities, the four higher rarities were Quarter Century Secret Rare, Holographic Rare, Secret Rare, and Ultimate Rare while the four lower rarities were Ultra Rare, Super Rare, Rare, and Common. Only Ultra Rare and Super Rare cards could have high-rarity versions in the same set.
