On 12 March 2025, The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) released a statement introducing the Ace Trainer Rewards program. The Ace Trainer Rewards program, active in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania, doesn’t only involve Pokémon TCG tournaments; it can be applied to VGC, Pokémon Go, and Pokémon UNITE tournaments as well.

About the Ace Trainer Rewards Program

Under the Ace Trainer Rewards program, any player who accumulates at least 200 Championship Points (CP) in Pokémon TCG, VGC, or Pokémon Go tournament play or any member of a team which does likewise in Pokémon UNITE tournament play qualifies for Ace Trainer status.

All eligible Ace Trainers may subsequently claim their reward at the end of the corresponding tournament season. Qualifying Ace Trainers in the 2024-25 season can expect to receive their rewards by 31 January 2026. One of the rewards for the 2024-25 season will be a Celebration Fanfare card; its release will mark the first time the card will ever be launched in English as well as the first time the card will be made available outside Asia-Pacific (including Japan). In addition, qualifying Ace Trainers will also receive an exclusive deck box and card sleeve set in Pokémon TCG Live.

At the end of the season, every eligible Ace Trainer will receive an email confirming their status. The email will also include a reminder to opt in for rewards as well as update their email address and residential address details on their Pokémon Trainer Club accounts by a specified designed date to claim their rewards. The rewards will be sent to the eligible Ace Trainers at no additional cost to the residential address stated in their respective Play! Pokémon accounts.

It must, however, be noted that Ace Trainer status is not equivalent to qualification for the Pokémon World Championships. The showpiece event of the Pokémon tournament calendar has its own qualification criteria.
