But that’s not all! New Balance is also launching the “Made for Shohei Ohtani Capsule Collection”, a three-piece apparel line designed in collaboration with the baseball superstar. This collection is set to debut in Japan on 15 March.

The “Made For Shohei Ohtani” capsule is a curated ensemble of athletic apparel and the New Balance 990v6. The said collection features a trio of limited-edition garments alongside the signature sneaker.

This release coincides with Major League Baseball’s Tokyo Series, headlined by the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago Cubs, and the most-revered teams of Nippon Professional Baseball. And at the heart of this spectacle stands Shohei Ohtani, accompanied by fellow Dodgers stars Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki.

Ohtani, a modern-day paragon of versatility, echoing the legendary Babe Ruth, brings together a following that spans two of the world’s most prominent baseball markets.

Nevertheless, the Shohei Ohtani x New Balance 990v6 is expected to hit shelves on 17 March, albeit exclusively in Japan. And from 15 to 23 March, New Balance will hold a popup in Shibuya, Tokyo, to usher in the arrival of the “Made For Shohei Ohtani” collection.
