Once again, it’s time to check in with what all of you have been purchasing from the SNKRDUNK App as far as TCG products are concerned. Let us first express our sincere thanks for your continued support and patronage of our wide selection of TCG booster packs, boxes, and other items.

Looking back on recent figures, we’ve found that the products listed here have ranked as some of our biggest sellers. To those willing to shell out the money to land them, we certainly do recommend them.

There’s a clear theme among the products we’re about to go through; it can’t be questioned that two certain Pokémon have recently captured the imagination of SNKRDUNK’s buyers.

…yeah, nobody is surprised by this being here at all.

It’s not even been close—every single day since the earth-shattering release of Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] in December 2024, the Special Art Rare (SAR) Umbreon ex-card has topped our sales charts. And it’s no wonder—Umbreon ex has unsurprisingly emerged as not only the standout card of the immensely hyped Terastal Festival ex [SV8a]; it’s already a serious contender for the title of “best card of the Pokémon TCG’s ninth generation”.

The card’s striking crystalline art style typifies all cards featuring a Terastallized Pokémon; however, this card’s appeal goes beyond its art style. It’s not even just about the fact that it depicts Umbreon, by far the most popular of all eight Eeveelutions. Arguably the biggest factor attracting people to this card is the fact that for many, it’s seen as a spiritual successor to one of the most iconic cards in Pokémon TCG history. (More on that later.)

This English-exclusive card Gen 9 promotional card was part of the Pokémon X Van Gogh campaign—a collaboration between The Pokémon Company International and the Van Gogh Museum. The campaign ran from September 2023 to January 2024; since then, the card associated with it has become one of the TCG’s most in-demand items.

Due to its limited distribution period, the number of copies of this card in circulation is relatively low, jacking up its value. This card—which is fittingly a Pokémon TCG version of a Vincent van Gogh painting—was also in the spotlight for controversial reasons as in the immediate period following its highly anticipated release, it was targeted by scalpers who hoarded it for price manipulation reasons. By now, most scalpers have backed off from this card; however, it’s clear that the craze for it remains.

A different promotional Pikachu card based on a painting—this one by Hishikawa Moronobu—has of late been pulling in loads of buyers. Between August 2021 and April 2022, this was one of two Gen 8 promotional cards made available to winners of three separate lotteries. The card was part of the Pokémon Stamp Box.

Once again, this card has the large value that it does in part because of the limited period during which it was possible to obtain the card. In addition, the card’s art style is intended to resemble that of the original ukiyo-e painting—something only seen on the related promotional Cramorant card; of course, Pikachu is way more popular than Cramorant, making this card far more coveted.

The recent and ongoing flurry of hype for Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] has drawn eyes to the Eeveelution-centric set before it: Eevee Heroes [S6a]. Loaded with epic cards depicting Eevee and its evolutions, the eighth-generation set Eevee Heroes [S6a] to this day remains one of the most iconic sets of Pokémon TCG of all time.

Just like Terastal Festival ex [SV8a], Eevee Heroes [S6a] is a set loaded with mega-rare cards; in fact, proportionally speaking there are far more of them in this eighth-generation set. This means that buyers have an elevated chance of landing a massive pull like Glaceon VMAX, Sylveon VMAX, Leafeon VMAX, or… well, we think you probably know where this is going by now.

Yeah, you most likely saw this coming when we started listing those Eevee Heroes [S6a] card names.

Once again, likely due to the buzz generated by Terastal Festival [SV8a] and the aforementioned Umbreon ex card, demand for “Moonbreon” has skyrocketed accordingly—even when compared to the usual constant interest in it. With all the comparisons that have been drawn between Umbreon ex from Terastal Festival [S6a] and Umbreon VMAX, this card has naturally been brought back to the forefront of the TCG community’s minds.

To some, Moonbreon is the greatest Pokémon TCG card of all time—and it’s easy to see why some say that. Featuring a captivating Full Art illustration with a compelling narrative, a unique, striking art style depicting the most popular of the Eeveelutions in all its Dynamaxed glory, and a stunning textured holofoil finish, this card forever has a place within the Pokémon TCG pantheon.
