Looking to nature as an inspiration, Nike first launched the ‘Terrascape’ series in 2021 which is a relatively new concept that has slowly made its way throughout the entire Air Max party — Air Max 90, Air Max Plus, and now the Air Max 97. At first impression, the latest offering has a wearable color palette and distinctive branding that hits the right spot. And don’t you think it resembles a terrarium?

Made of at least 20% recycled materials by weight, Nike Air Max Terrascape 97 has modern design elements including a mudguard made of tough translucent Nike Grind rubber, a ripstop nylon upper, and TPU accents. The iconic waffle outsole ensures a trademark Nike Air Max print in every step, while the sea green Swoosh traces back to a pull tag for removable assistance. The midsole finished with Nike’s signature innovative Air Unit for added cushioning to reduce impact decorated in multi-colored speckles that mirrors a confetti. This shoe honors the spirit of the classic silhouette while being inspired by the intersection of urban terrain and the outdoors.

It’s currently set for a 15 October release on Nike.com and the suggested retail price is $185.
