The Leader card from Wings of the Captain [OP-06] which featured Vinsmoke Reiju has been sought after by both players and collectors. Since it came in a Parallel Art version and spotlighted a female character, the card had inherent value to collectors. From the players’ perspective, the card was the centerpiece of the Blue/Purple Reiju deck which had been on the rise since the ban of the game-breaking Red/Purple Law deck via the prohibition of that deck’s titular Leader card from The Three Captains [ST-10].

About Vinsmoke Reiju (Wings of the Captain [OP-06] OP06-042)

This new Parallel Art reprint is one of a slew of Leader cards which have recently received one; all of the reprints including this one come in the rarity of L-SPC. Like the original, this is a card depicting a female character and which has a Parallel Art illustration; however, the card’s newly elevated rarity level takes its value to a point well beyond the earlier version.

Gameplay-wise, the titular card of the Blue/Purple Reiju deck serves as a draw engine. Its Leader effect allows the player to draw a card after returning a DON!! card from the field to the player’s deck. As such, it pairs well with cards such as GERMA 66 and Kingdom of GERMA—both cards from Wings of the Captain [OP-06] which have the potential to return DON!! cards to the deck.
