Recently, Reddit user mylizard made a post on the PokeInvesting subreddit listing the top 10 Pokémon TCG booster packs by value for money among all booster packs from English sets released since the beginning of the seventh generation in 2016.

The rankings were calculated by comparing the average cumulative value of the cards in a particular set’s booster pack to the retail price of the booster pack itself. Booster packs are thus ranked by the percentage of the booster pack’s retail price that the average cumulative value of the booster pack’s cards comes to.

The top 10 Pokémon TCG booster packs as ranked by value for money are as follows:

1) Crown Zenith – US$3.59/US$5.19 – 69%
2) 151 [MEW] – US$5.08/US$9.48 – 54%
3) Shrouded Fable [SFA] – US$1.99/US$3.87 – 52%
4) Paldea Evolved [PAL] – US$1.99/US$4.05 – 49%
5) Pokémon GO – US$1.89/US$4.37 – 43%
6) Temporal Forces [TEF] – US$1.64/US$3.98 – 41%
7) Stellar Crown [SCR] – US$1.51/US$3.78 – 40%
8) Paradox Rift [PAR] – US$1.42/US$3.55 – 40%
9) Twilight Masquerade [TWM] – US$1.65/US$4.16 – 40%
10) Brilliant Stars – US$2/US$5.09 – 39%

The top 10 is thus dominated by booster packs from Gen 9 sets with the only Gen 8 representation being Crown Zenith, Pokémon GO, and Brilliant Stars. No Gen 7 booster packs made the top 10.
