Pokémon TCG Boxed Order

The addition of Boxed Order to the Snorlax deck is a recent innovation; the first player to do so was Dutchman Sander Wojcik at the Lille Regionals in October 2024. Even then, it wasn’t until the Sacramento Regionals a month later when the idea of adding this Item card to the Snorlax deck became widespread among its players. Today, the Boxed Order variant of the Snorlax deck has been adopted by a sizable chunk of the deck’s players.

About Boxed Order (Wild Force [SV5K] 061/071)

Boxed Order is used as a draw engine that facilitates the deck’s consistency and stability. It enables the player to search the deck for two Item cards before revealing them to the opponent, putting them in hand, then shuffling the deck. Boxed Order replaces Rotom V, a card from Lost Abyss [S11] which had previously served as the Snorlax deck’s main draw engine. The main advantage of using Boxed Order over Rotom V’s Ability of Instant Charge is that unlike what’s the case with Instant Charge, the player’s turn doesn’t end as soon as the player plays Boxed Order.

The entire appeal of this card has to do with the value with which it provides players. With a rarity of Uncommon (U), there’s nothing noteworthy whatsoever about this card from a collectability perspective.
