Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 7 is on the Horizon
The Air Jordan 7 is joining Travis Scott & Cactus Jack's Swoosh Utopia.
[Update 12 Sep 2022] Prompted by the rumors of a Travis Scott x Air Jordan 7, mockup account @glitchedgarbage has delivered a potential concept of what the collaborative piece will look like. Leaping off the Air Jordan 1 “Reverse Mocha” colorway, the design comes in a muted coffee color with Sail accents. Notably, there is the inclusion of Cactus Jack’s iconic reverse Swoosh on the lateral side, which seems possible given La Flame’s previous drops. Though we are unsure what lies in the superficial wake of the Air Jordan 7, we’ll be sure to update as soon as more details are available.
Though Travis Scott and his label Cactus Jack have been preoccupied with the Air Jordan 1 as of late, with sequels to the Reverse Mocha reportedly dropping later this year, it seems like another silhouette is in the queue for a La Flame revamp.
The rapper’s previous engagement with the Jumpman’s family involved the more popular models — with the Air Jordan 4 as the two’s first contact, and subsequently Cactus Jack’s muted color palette also found residence on the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 1. But according to trusted leak source @_PO2345, the Air Jordan 7 will be the upcoming project under Houston-born Travis Scott’s sneaker reign.

This is undoubtedly a surprise. Though the AJ7 is a pivotal shoe, it is certainly not the most popular model among the hype scene. However, this could be part of Nike’s effort to push the 7s, especially given the recent drops of colorways (Citrus being a popular one) and a collaboration with Bephies Beauty Supply.
Legacy-wise, the AJ7 is rather prolific. Worn by Michael Jordan as he clinched his second consecutive NBA Championship and his shoe of choice as he pounded the court in the ’92 Olympics “Dream Team”, the AJ7 is no stranger to basketball fans. Its design also marked a transitional phase in the Nike-Jordan history, which saw the doing away of a visible Air unit and “Nike Air” branding on the heel.
Aside from teasing a Travis Scott x Air Jordan 7 drop, @_PO2345 also claims that a Cactus Jack-crafted design will launch. This is a bold claim that suggests the Swoosh team’s ties to the rapper will only be more intertwined in the coming months.
Though no concrete details have settled in the dust of this exciting news, we expect more information to drop soon. Keep this page in your bookmarks so you never miss an update!
