2025 marks three decades since the debut of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION, and the celebrations are kicking off in a truly epic way. In a surprising yet undeniably exciting move, the franchise has teamed up with none other than McDonald’s Japan for a special commemorative release.

Forget Happy Meals, this is an event: a limited-edition value figurine set, promising a must-have collectible for any EVANGELION aficionado.

About the NEON GENESIS EVANGELION x McDonald’s Value Figurine Set

In a stroke of pure genius, McDonald’s iconic menu items—the Big Mac, McFry Potato, and McShake—have been transformed into three respective EVANGELION-inspired units. Prepare to witness the birth of the Big Mac Unit-01, the McFry Potato Unit-02, and the chillingly named McShake Unit-00 robots.

To further amplify the hype, the dynamic duo has also unveiled a special TV commercial, featuring a reunion of iconic characters from the series, including Rei, Shinji, Asuka, Misato, Ritsuko, and voiceovers by Gendo and Kaji.

Release Details

The NEON GENESIS EVANGELION x McDonald’s Value Figurine Set, priced at 3,990 JPY (~US$25), will be available via raffle entry from 19 December 2024, at 2PM (JST) to 10 January 2025, at 11:59PM (JST).

A wider release will follow on 20 January 2025, at select McDonald’s Japan stores.
