[Pokémon TCG] Raichu V (Star Birth [S9] 106/100) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
How does dealing 360 damage just like that sound?
Prior to the release of Super Electric Breaker [SV8], many Miraidon ex deck players had stopped using the Raichu V card from Star Birth [S9] as one of the deck’s main attackers. However, the addition of the Magneton card from Super Electric Breaker [SV8] has revived Raichu V and elevated it—as well as the Miraidon ex deck in general—to a height within the Pokémon TCG metagame that it hasn’t seen for a long time.
About Raichu V (Star Birth [S9] 106/100)
With the assistance of Magneton’s Ability of Overvolt Discharge, Raichu V is able to unleash its Dynamic Spark attack for a whopping 360 damage with relative ease. Once the player has two Electric Energy cards in play, the player can then add another from the hand, then attach three more via Overvolt Discharge. Dynamic Spark deals 60 damage per attached Electric Energy card which the player discards; with six Energy cards in play, Dynamic Spark is able to one-shot just about everything.
From a collector’s standpoint, this card has a rarity of Super Rare (SR) and a Full Art illustration. The flash of light in the background emphasizes Raichu V’s electrifying powers; in addition, Raichu V itself is surrounded by a silver outline that matches the border of the card. Additionally, some might be drawn to this card purely because Raichu is the evolved form of Pikachu—even though this particular Raichu V card is a Basic Pokémon and can therefore be placed directly into play.
