The Nike Book 1 “Zoom Rev” PE Nods to Nostalgia
Inspired by another exclusive pair—the 2017 Zoom Rev PE.
Devin Booker’s journey into the signature sneaker spotlight is still in its early stages, but his connection with Nike stretches back to the start of his NBA career. In 2017, Nike laced up the young Phoenix Suns guard with a personalized Zoom Rev PE, featuring a team-inspired palette of black and orange. Now, seven years later, that very colorway returns on the Nike Book 1 PE, imbuing his signature line with the pull of nostalgia.
About the Nike Book 1 “Zoom Rev” PE
The design stays true to its roots while incorporating contemporary design cues. A bold orange Swoosh contrasts against the black base, with orange paint splatter adding energy to the midsole and a semi-translucent outsole completing the look.
The open mesh construction on the toe box and side panels nods to the Zoom Rev, reinforcing the connection between past and present. Even the distinctive battery bar graphic on the heel makes a comeback. However, the real throwback lies in the tongue: instead of the serif-style “BOOK” branding typical of the Book 1, this PE sports the old English logo once used on Booker’s early player exclusives.
The sentimental value runs deep. Booker wore his original Zoom Rev PE in 19 games during the 2017 season, including two clutch performances capped by game-winning shots. That kind of cache makes it easy to see why he’d want to revisit that chapter of his career through his first signature sneaker.
Release Details
Unfortunately, like most player exclusives, the Nike Book 1 “Zoom Rev” won’t be hitting retail shelves. It’s a tribute to Booker’s early days in the league, reserved for his personal rotation and a few moments of on-court nostalgia.
