[Update 26 Jun 2023] Following the reveal of various colorways previously, another new silver/grey rendition of the Social Status x Nike Mac Attack has now surfaced, courtesy of @hidden.ny. Take a look at the pair and the special shoe box design on the article slider above as we await for more updates on a release for the collaborative pack.

[Update 20 Mar 2023] The only Rosetta Stone about this anticipated joint effort was a leak of the original Mac Attack—until now. Thanks to the NBA’s ultimate sneaker freaker PJ Tucker, a first look of the collaborative pairs have been brought to light. There’s no release date yet but expect them to arrive sometime in the summer of this year.

The three colorways ascertained feature a mix of mesh, suede, and leather up top; with all featuring a tearaway detail on the heel and profile Swooshes. There’s the green pair with orange underneath, a tonal blue, and a monochromatic black. They’re purported to arrive with a dual-branded packaging, presumably similar to the imprint on the footbed.

More updates should be on the way as the warmer months draw nearer. Stay tuned!

[Update 15 Feb 2023] There aren’t any official looks yet of the collaborative pair but these new images highlights details hitherto unseen. A more angular look showcasing the upper and intricate traction patters underfoot. There’s no firm release date yet but they’re expected, as reported earlier, to arrive sometime in the summer this year. Stay tuned!

Nike’s vintage Mac Attack is slated for a second release in Summer 2023 as a collaboration with streetwear retailer Social Status.

This is the first time Nike is bringing back the Mac Attack since its original release in 1984. Created as a tennis shoe for John McEnroe, it featured a silver and black colourway and a checkerboard tongue in a mid-cut. Although neither Nike nor Social Status has given any update, expect strong co-branding direction between the two brands with signature tongue labels and limited edition packaging. 

The Mac Attack has made silent waves over the years. Nike released its Nike Manor back in 2012 inspired by the Mac Attack. The original vintage pair has also coincidentally been spotted on celebrities like Lebron James and Travis Scott more recently. 

Sneaker details have yet to be released but find out more about another retro release that’s been circulating, the Stüssy x Nike Vandal in 3 Colorways expected to drop.
