Two of Japan’s biggest exports in fashion and sports, atmos and ASICS, are at it again with a new joint effort, the GT-2160 “Tapetum”, scheduled for release in the coming weeks.

About the atmos x ASICS GT-2160 “Tapetum”

Drawing inspiration from the reflective properties of the tapetum lucidum, a layer in the eyes of nocturnal animals that enhances night vision, the GT-2160 is adorned with reflective materials, shimmers and shines, capturing and reflecting light in a mesmerizing display.

Release Details

So far, the only Rosetta stone of the pair is the lone image above. Nonetheless, stay tuned for more details and images in the coming weeks! They’re expected to drop sometime in the tail end of 2024 or in the early months of 2025.
