Jasmine, the Olivine Gym Leader from the Johto region, has been featured on a number of notable Pokémon TCG cards ever since her introduction in Pokémon’s second generation. However, her latest appearance in Supercharged Breaker [SV8] might just end up being the pick of the bunch.

About Jasmine’s Gaze (Supercharged Breaker [SV8] 135/106)

Although there have been multiple cards depicting Pokémon over the years which have featured a Pokémon owned by Jasmine, this card is just the second time in Pokémon TCG history that the Steel-type specialist is spotlighted. The only other time this was the case was the Jasmine card from Dark Order [SM8a], a seventh-generation set. There’s also a nostalgia factor driving up demand for this card since Jasmine’s first appearance in the Pokémon video games came all the way back in Gen 2.

Finally, as one might have guessed, the fact that this Special Art Rare (SAR) card has a Full Art illustration of a female character serves as a major component of its value. Adding to this, Jasmine is pictured wide-eyed and with part of a long sandwich in her mouth—to make a long story short, this is likely to drive up appeal among a “certain” demographic of buyers.
