Unquestionably, one of the most iconic Pokémon TCG cards of all time is the Charizard card from Expansion Pack—the very first Pokémon TCG set ever released all the way back in 1996. The card’s holofoil background as well as the card’s border are different from those of the 1996 version; the new version are more in line with those of similar cards from 2021. Additionally, the card has a logo on its right side showing that this card was reprinted to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon TCG.

Finally, Pokémon TCG cards usually experience a price boost if they are released in conjunction with a specific occasion; this Charizard card is no different—especially in this case because of the fact that the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon TCG is its biggest milestone to date.
