To commemorate the 20th anniversary of its iconic SHARK HOODIE, A BATHING APE (BAPE) is set to launch a SHARK capsule collection and host pop-up events in Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, and Milan. The lineup includes a new SHARK STA footwear line.

About the BAPE SHARK Collection

The SHARK HOODIE, a staple in streetwear fashion since its debut in 2004, has gained worldwide popularity among celebrities, artists, and fans alike. The SHARK STA, inspired by the hoodie’s design, incorporates shark tooth overlays, a STA logo, and a shark-gill-inspired arch.

Available as a “COUNTRY PACK” in 10 colorways, the pair is crafted with premium materials like patent leather, nubuck, suede, mesh, and calf leather, the shoes offer both comfort and durability.

In addition to the SHARK STA, the collection also includes a range of SHARK TEE, and SHARK FULL ZIP HOODIE.

Release Details

The BAPE SHARK Collection will be launching on 5 October via BAPE STORE and BAPE.com. The Tokyo pop-up event will take place a day before, on 4 October at the MIYASHITA PARK landmark in Shibuya. It will showcase a SHARK-themed exhibition featuring works by French artist M’BricK

BAPE also shared plans to continue expanding the SHARK STA line with new colorways and collaborations throughout 2025.
