Marc Jacobs continues to captivate the world with his 40th-anniversary collaborations, already having partnered with fellow fashion luminaries like NIGO, Cactus Plant Flea Market, Stephen Sprouse, and Anna Sui. Nevertheless, the designer has now unveiled a new joint effort with the legendary artist and grafitti pioneer Futura.

About the Futura x Marc Jacobs Collection

Their previous collaboration in 2022, a philanthropic initiative benefiting Free Arts NYC, served as a harbinger of the creative synergy between the two. And this latest venture culminates in a special-edition capsule collection that reimagines Jacobs’ iconic designs, including The Tote Bag, The Snapshot, unisex denim, hoodies, sweaters, T-shirts, and jewelry. Each piece adorned with Futura’s distinctive signatures.

As part of the rollout, Marc Jacobs has assembled a star-studded campaign featuring J Balvin, Paloma Elsesser, and Futura himself. Captured by the lens of Renell Medrano and styled by Milton Dixon III, the campaign showcases the trio amidst Futura’s captivating sculptures and graffiti graphics that bear the iconic “Marc Jacobs” moniker.

Release Details

The Futura x Marc Jacobs collection officially launches on 6 September, marking the eighth installment in a year-long series of collaborations. To celebrate the occasion, the brand will establish dedicated pop-up stores in New York, London, Beijing, and Japan.

Concurrently, the Bronx Museum will host FUTURA 2000: BREAKING OUT, a comprehensive exhibition of Futura’s groundbreaking work, on 8 September at the Bronx Museum.
