With another PEACEMINUSONE x Nike collaboration in the horizon, here's the "WHO YOU?" on the "One of a Kind" fashion label.
PEACEMINUSONE (PMO) is the brainchild of seminal multi-hyphenate G-Dragon and longtime stylist and collaborator Gee-Eun. Since its inception in October 2016, the Korean label has garnered widespread acclaim, propelled into the mainstream zeitgeist by its notable collaboration with Nike.
Known for its distinct design DNA fusing streetwear and high style, PMO showcases an eclectic range of products, including clothing, accessories, and headphones. From jackets and tops to headwear and shoes, its offerings cater to the discerning tastes of the gens du monde.

G-Dragon
A cultural icon and leader of the influential K-pop group BigBang, G-Dragon is often hailed as the “King of K-pop”.
A modern-day renaissance man, a cultural chameleon, his artistic influence extends beyond music, encompassing various creative domains.
Despite his ongoing sabbatical from music, he continues to captivate audiences with his innovative fashion endeavors, particularly through his collaborations with Nike.
Gee-Eun
A stylist with a distinguished career at YG Entertainment, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Jeon Somi, Taeyang, and G-Dragon.
Her fashion acumen was honed through formal studies and a two-decade tenure at YG, where she created iconic looks for groups like BigBang and 2NE1.
Notably, her partnership with G-Dragon culminated in the co-founding of PEACEMINUSONE.
PEACEMINUSONE History
PEACEMINUSONE’s inception began with a limited exhibition titled “peaceminusone: Beyond the Stage” at the Seoul Museum of Art in 2015, as a platform to unveil G-Dragon’s sui generis perspective on human nature and his vision of a utopian world.

Per the artist’s proclivities, the inaugural showcase fused pop culture and modern art, featuring collaborations with diverse artists. Over 200 works were displayed, including artifacts from BigBang’s music videos. This artistic amalgamation reflected G-Dragon’s multifaceted creative vision and his ability to bridge the gap between commercial culture and high art.
In October 2016, the principles that underpinned the aforementioned exhibit were materialized in the form of clothes. Thus, the PEACEMINUSONE streetwear brand as it is best known today.
The next year in 2017, the burgeoning brand further solidified its presence through a series of pop-up stores, beginning in Seoul and expanding to international locations such as Miami, Osaka, and Hong Kong in conjunction with G-Dragon’s solo tour, Act III: Motte.

PEACEMINUSONE Name and Logo Meaning
PEACEMINUSONE Name Meaning
The name embodies a profound philosophy, representing the intersection (one) of the ideal and the real. This conceptual bridge seeks to connect the utopian world with the imperfect realities of our own.
PEACEMINUSONE Logo
First seen on G-Dragon’s Coup d’Etat album cover in 2013, the PEACEMINUSONE logo is an emblem that encapsulates the brand’s philosophy and G-Dragon’s artistic vision. A stylized peace symbol, devoid of its central stick, the logo subtly incorporates the letters “G” and “D,” intertwining them in a harmonious fusion.
Unbeknownst to most, the symbol’s hidden meaning, inspired by the lyrics of his song “Middle Fingers-Up,” adds a layer of depth and intrigue. By subtracting the index finger from the “V” sign, the universal symbol of peace, becomes the universal symbol of subversion.
PEACEMINUSONE Daisy
The daisy flower, a recurring motif in PEACEMINUSONE’s designs, holds symbolic significance. With a single petal missing at the eight o’clock position, the daisy signifies “peace minus one,” reflecting the brand’s name and G-Dragon’s desire to challenge conventional norms.
The number eight holds personal significance for GD, as it corresponds to his date of birth, 18 August 1988. This detail further underscores the artist’s connection to the brand and the symbolism embedded within its logo.
PEACEMINUSONE Clothing
PEACEMINUSONE’s clothing is predominantly one-size-fits-all, constructed with a slightly larger fit compared to standard garments. While limited options exist for detailed sizing, particularly in outerwear and hoodies, shorter individuals may need to alter the length.
Every product in their catalog features a numbered tag, a distinctive identifier that, although devoid of specific meaning, can influence resale value. Certain number sequences, such as 1234, 8888, and 0818, may command a premium price.
A hallmark of the brand is the signature strap, a long string attached to the lining of the back of most tops and hats. This detail serves as a tangible reminder of the brand’s identity.
PMO LEATHER RACING JACKET #1
PMO’s price point reflects the meticulous attention to detail and premium materials employed in their creations. For instance, the PMO LEATHER RACING JACKET #1, crafted from 100% vintage cowhide, is priced at a substantial 2.8 million KRW (~US$2,520), reflective of its quality and craftsmanship.
