About the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protro “What The”

The “What The” series is renowned for seamlessly blending elements from past colorways. This philosophy manifests in the Protro’s upper, a vibrant tapestry woven from Flyknit. Each strategically placed hue pays homage to a different iteration of the Kobe 9.

Elevating the Kobe 9’s profile are the reflective tonal graphics, dancing with the light, ensuring they remain a focal point even in low-light environments. A speckled grey midsole provides a calming counterpoint to the upper’s vibrancy, while a mélange print adorns the inner collar, adding another layer of intricate detail.

Release Details

Scheduled to release on 13 April 2025, the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protro “What The” will be available at Nike’s brick-and-click stores, priced at US$300, and offered in men’s sizing.
