[Update 15 Jan 2025] The dates on which the Dragon Discovery [M24] campaign will be active in the US have now been finalized; it will run from 21 January to 24 February 2025.

[Update 31 Dec 2024] It’s now known that this campaign has the name of “Dragon Discovery”; the campaign’s main image has also been revealed. Browse the gallery for it.

Dragon Discovery [M24] has also been confirmed for release in Austria on 23 January 2025; the cards will be in German. Additionally, English versions of Dragon Discovery [M24] will be coming to New Zealand in January 2025 (the exact date remains unconfirmed) and Canada (date is yet to be announced).

In addition, it’s now known that the cards which will come in holofoil are as follows: Pikachu, Miraidon, Koraidon, Hydreigon, Roaring Moon, Dragonite, and Drampa.

Finally, the Pokémon TCG x McDonald’s France promotional booster packs will have their own set acronym: [M24].

[Update 27 Nov 2024] The details about the booster packs to be distributed via this collaboration are now in. Each booster pack will contain four cards of which one is a holofoil card.

There will be a total of 15 cards available through these promotional packs; all will be reprints of existing cards. The Pokémon featured on them will be as follows: Charizard, Dragapult, Dragonite, Drampa, Eevee, Hatenna, Hydreigon, Jigglypuff, Koraidon, Miraidon, Pikachu, Quagsire, Rayquaza, Roaring Moon, and Umbreon.

It has also been confirmed that this promotion will also be active in the US on dates yet to be announced. As such, the cards in it will also be available in English.

From 4 December 2024 to 21 January 2025, The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) and McDonald’s France will collaborate to release special promotional Pokémon TCG booster packs to come with Happy Meals. This has been an annual campaign every year since 2011.

Every card in the packs will be a reprint of an existing card but with new numbering exclusive to the McDonald’s set. All holofoil cards in the packs will be printed on confetti holofoil paper.

Release Details

Although the McDonald’s booster packs haven’t been confirmed for release anywhere else, there are rumors that they might first be around in the US. That could happen as soon as October or November 2024.

Since no other release details have been confirmed, it’s also not yet known if the booster packs will be released in any language other than French; likewise, the retail price of each individual card won’t be known until the cards make it to the open market.
