Being among the most popular Pokémon, almost any card featuring an Eeveelution is likely to garner major interest—what more so when there’s a set built around Eevee and all eight of its evolutions. That, however, isn’t the only reason why the Super Rare (SR) Flareon V card from eighth-generation Pokémon TCG set Eevee Heroes [S6a] is a highly prized get.

Let’s start off with the Full Art illustration. The image is an in-character depiction of Eevee’s Fire-type evolution; Flareon V is shown gently lighting a fireplace. Visually, the fire is enhanced by the holofoil that makes it stand out, especially when juxtaposed with the dim lighting of the rest of the card. The overall imagery brings out a cozy, inviting vibe that truly elevates this card.

Adding a sense of continuity to the card is the lamp in the top-right corner. That lamp can also be seen in the illustrations of several other Eevee Heroes [S6a] cards. On a related note, this card is also likely to be sought by completionists who are in search of all of the Pokémon V versions of the Eeveelutions.

In addition, Flareon V was first released internationally as part of the Flareon VMAX Premium Collection in December 2021. As that collection is no longer being sold, obtaining that particular Flareon V card is likely to present more of a challenge; this scarcity makes this card even more valuable.
